A FAMILY - A TEAM

I'm also a great believer that God sets the solitary into families â€“ Ps 68:6 While there are some great corporate models out there for organizations, the Church has always been fashioned after the Family. Valuing every member, loving unconditionally, pushing each other to be the best we can, and forgiving because we are joined by something greater than just an organization. And church must be a place for all. For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. â€“ 1 Cor. 12:12 The Family Model includes and values every age and culture, living and growing in Christ. We as the Church are called to minister to people from birth to heaven. Every generation is important and needs ministry. Also, the church must be a refuge where the lost are both welcomed and challenged to change, as well as a life giving community where its members are serving and growing in faith.

My leadership style is inclusive â€“ the opposite of the classic "my way or the highway."  I have no problem leading, setting vision, motivating and bringing unity of purpose. But I also believe that God Himself decides who the church should be, and we in leadership are to steward and guide - much like parenting children.  The Bible is clear as to the role of the Pastor â€“ To equip the believers to accomplish the work of the ministry â€“ Eph 4:12

While I understand that in every setting somebody has to actually drive the bus, the New Testament examples are numerous – God uses teams, groups of people called with common vision and purpose to evangelize the world and make disciples. And only a great egotistical fool would think that his ideas are the only ones with merit.
